"Tweaked: A Generation in Overdrive" - Letters

Please feel free to share this review on your website. I am a Meth Taskforce Coordinator. I am continually looking for ways to share information regarding the effects of meth. I purchased your tapes about a month ago. So far, everyone I have shown them to, get a very sobering look on their face. I share the website and ordering information every time I use the tape.

This tape even though it is graphic and somewhat disturbing, it is excellent for getting the word out. I will continue to use your tape in my presentations, and I will continue to support your effort by sharing your website and purchase information whenever I can.

Thank you so much for producing them. Congratulations to the producers personnel for an excellent resource for those of us, fighting the meth problem around the U.S.

There are now over 8,000 cps cases in the state of just over a million people and up to 30 new cases added on the big island alone each month 85% related to meth addiction this does not take into account all the children living with other relatives which is quite common here. In fact its not only growing its reaching epidemic proportions and we need to act now! We are heading towards a meth crazed society if not there already. I still don't think mainstream is paying enough attention to this problem but we intend to change that, and when it comes to a head are we all going to plead ignorant?

What can I do to make a difference? My 29 year old little brother has been hooked on meth for 3 years...he's lost everything and is looking at possible prison time. He comes from a solid family that loves and supports him 100% as he begins treatment. The fact that the TWEAKED makers family member is back on the street makes my stomach turn.....sounds too familiar. What in heaven's name can I do to make a difference??? My husband and I have four children ages 13 down to 4 that we talk to daily regarding drugs. How can I help get rid of this EVIL drug???

I'm Investigator" Tom" in Riverside County, currently working major narc cases and coordinating Dug Endangered Children (D.E.C.) efforts. The "Tweaked Videos"...I have used at numerous D.E.C.. and Meth Awareness presentations (yes I do give the web-site address out several times during). I have been provided a lot of Meth related tapes for these presentations, but none seem to impact the audience the way yours do...the impact of yours is more realistic and thus more powerful. I have never received less than excellent presentation ratings and your tapes provide a solid platform to stand on. THANKS for allowing me the chance to use your tapes and get the word out. I've read...newspaper accounts about Riverside mothers biting their infants to death, breast feeding their babies Meth tainted milk and shooting their 3 and 5 year olds. We can't let this continue and I'm glad you guys are out there for all.

I have recently viewed the tweaked video at a workshop. I work in female correctional center and we have had very few experiences with users of this drug to this point in time. We do realize that this drug is increasing in popularity and are grateful to the video for giving us some insight into the hold that this drug is having on our offenders. We will have to look at alternative treatment for our offenders since the "traditional" methods don't seem to take into account the strong grasp of people's lives this drug takes. It is more complicated than changing your lifestyle to escape this drug. I thank you for sharing this video with us. Perhaps we can use it as a way to scare people out of ever trying this.

I dont know if this is the right place to send this but i found your website completely amazing. The truths exposed on this site are exactly like ones i have witnessed in my own life. My older brother was addicted to "speed" for over 5 years. The difference between him and alot of people was he shot it up .. he shot up alot.. sometimes 15-20 times a day... sounds like alot..well it is ..he pretty much ruined his life with the use of this "drug". In the winter of 2003 he finally cleaned up in time for the birth of his daughter . He often tells people that "The only way to get off meth, is to want to get off it".. "no one can help you but yourself"...and he's right..rehab is bullshit, the best cure for any addiction is yourself. He beat his addiction and moved 1000 miles away to a new state and has completely turned his life around. After he left, his best friend who had been doing meth and ! gave my brother his first shot, hung himself at the age of 20 years old. I knew him he was a good person but he had no drive to quit. He left behind a son who is named after my brother. My brother was very sad when he heard the news but he kept going.. he is now 21 and i am 17 we are best friends we live together and do everything together. I love him and could not imagine life without him,, which is very possible if he would have kept using this evil drug...

I am a law enforcement officer who just viewed your film "TWEAKED" at a meth seminar sponsored by our county district attorney and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office. What a powerful program. As a law enforcement officer for 25 years it was a real shock to see something as devastating as Methamphetamine rear its ugly head in our community. I have three teenagers and I'm scared to death. I feel that the production you have made is excellent. I sit here in treatment listening to girl after girl laughing about "tweaking". I saw some of these same girls become extremely quiet (watching "Tweaked: A Generation in Overdrive"), there was no laughing or remembering the fun times, no "wisecracks" just total awareness of how much further down the road they could continue to go if it didn't stop now. I WAS JUST LOOKING AT THIS WEB SITE AND WAS VERY MUCH INTERESTED IN THIS VIDEO BUT HAVE NO MONEY TO PURCHASE IT. I READ ALL OF THESE WEB PAGES AND IT IS SO WEIRD BECAUSE I HAVE A STORY TO TELL THAT LASTED ABOUT 5 1/2 MONTHS I HAVE NEVER USED ANY HARDCORE DRUG, ALL I EVER DID WAS DRINK AND SMOKE CIGARRETES AS A YOUNGER CHILD I USED MARIJUANA BUT NOT THAT MUCH .I WOULD ALWAYS TRIP OUT AND WONDER HOW SOMEONE COULD BECOME ADDICTED TO A DRUG AND LET THEM SELVES GO AS WELL AS THEIRLIVES. WELL, I WOULD THINK LIKE THIS FOR YEARS. UNTIL ONE DAY IN JANUARY OF 2005. I BROKE UP WITH THE ONLY GUY I EVER HAD AROUND MY KIDS SINCE THEIR DADDY. AND IT DIDN'T WORK IT HURT SO BAD. I USED TO SEE MY FRIEND SMOKE ICE BUT SHE OFFEREF AND I NEVER TRIED IT I SAID YEAH RIGHT I DON'T FEEL LIKE DYING TODAY. BUT THEN A MONTH WENT BUY AND ON FEB 17 2005 I TRIED IT. I FELT HIGH AND FUNNY I WAS REALLY NICE TO EVERYONE. THEN WE STARTED SMOKING ON THE WEEKENDS BEFORE WE WENT OUT IT LASTED ABOUT 2 MONTHS THEN. MY SONS FATHER DECIDED NOT TO WORK SO CHILD SUPPORT DIDN'T COME IN. SO I COULDN'T PAY FOR DAYCARE. AND I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO QUIT THE ONLY JOB THAT MEANT MY LIFE TO ME. I WAS WORKING AT THE COUNTY ATTORNEY 'S OFFICE IN TEXAS AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN THEIR A YEAR IN JUNE OF 2005. BUT APRIL 1 2005 I HAD TO RESIGN I LEFT ON GOOD TERMS BUT I TOOK IT REALLY HARD. NO ONE UNDERSTOOD HOW HARD! I HID MY FEELINGS WELL. EVERY NIGHT I WANTED TO CRY I FELT LIKE I HAD LOST EVERYTHING... THAT WAS MY WAY UP AND OUT OF HERE. WELL I SAID LETS SMOKE!!! SO THEN WE STARTED SMOKING DURING THE WEEK AND ON THE WEEKENDS THEN WE STARTED SMOKING VERY LARGE AMOUNTS I WOULDN;T SLEEP I WOULDN'T EAT, I WOULD STAY UP FOR FOUR DAYS AND NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING BUT BEER FOR FOUR DAYS I TRIPPED HARD I STARTED SEEING THINGS LIKE A REALLY LARGE MAN FLOATING IN THE AIR, I COULD HAVE SWORN I WAS TELLING THE TRUTH AND IT WASN'T JUST MY MIND! WELL IT CAUSE ME TO LOOSE MY BOYFRIEND THE ONE WHO WE WOULD ACT LIKE BEST FRIENDS AND LAUGH AND ... MY LIFE WAS HELL I WOULDN'T LEAVE DURING THE DAY I WOULDN'T LOOK NO ONE IN THE EYES I TURNED TO SHIT!!! I WOULD CRY AT NIGHT FOR NOTHING I WOULD BRAEKDOWN, THEN I TOLD MY SELF IF I EVER SMOKED BY MYSELF I HAD A PROBLEM, THEN I STARTED SMOKING BY MYSELF. 1 MONTH LATER I STARTED TRIPPING THINKING SOMEONE BROKE IN AND STOLE MY KEYS BROKE INTO MY CAR UNDID MY WINDOWS IN MY HOME I ACTUALLY BELEIEVED AT NIGHT THESE PEOPLE TRIED TORAPE ME AND TRIED TO BREAK IN IT LEAD TO WHERE I TOLD MY PARENTS THEY WERE FLIPPED OUT WHEN THEY HEARD ABOUT IT I NEVER TOLD THEM ANYTHING ABOUT ICE. THEY THOUGHT I WAS WEIRD BUT BELEIVED ME AND THEY TOOK MY KIDS AND I WAS ONLY COMING TO MY APARTMENT TO GET CLOTHES I STARTED STAYING WITH MY FRIEND... ANYWAY I STARTED USING MY MIND AND IT TOOK A WHILE BUT I STARTED UNDERSTANDING MYSELF... I TALKED WITH MY FRIEND FOR 3 HOURS AND DISCOVERED I WAS TRIPPEN NO ONE WAS AFTER ME, THIS DRUG IS BAD IT IS NOT A GAME. I FOUGHT IT I OVERCAME IT IT TOOK SOME HARD WORK BUT I OVERCAME IT NOW I AM TRYING TO BREAK IT COMPLETELY TO FIGHT IT ALL TOGEHETHER TO WHERE I DON'T FEEL LIKE I NEED IT AT NIGHT. I HAVE MY KIDS BACK , MY APARTMENT IS NEATLEY REARRANGED AND MY LIFE IS COMING BACK TOGETHER I TOLD MY SELF THAT ONE DAY WHEN IT IS ALL GONE!!!! I WILL COMFESS TO MY MOTHER THAT I OVERCAME IT I BEAT BY MY SELF. I USED MY MIND I DIDN'T LET THE DRUG DO ME ANYMORE. I thought this was an excellent movie. It got to your heart. If you don't care about yourself, at least care about a child. They don't do the dope. They are just children. It shows you how out of control you are when you do speed.

just wanted to say I caught your film last night and I think it's a really good thing what you guys are doing. As a former meth user myself who had no idea what I was even getting into 12 years ago at the age of 16 years old. I think it's very important to get the message out to kids that it's not as harmless as they think. If I didn't have the support of my family I probably never would have been able to pull myself away from that lifestyle. All the girls were doing meth to be thin in my high school in Phoenix Arizona and everyone acted like it was no big thing. Some of those people never came back, what I mean by that is that they will never be the same people I knew before they started taking meth and couldn't stop. Good luck getting the word out!

I think this is the perfect film. I've seen a lot of violence through my drugging, but never anything like this. It really gives you alot to think about. The movie, "Tweaked" has greatly influenced me not to ever use crystal meth. I never have wanted to try it anyway because I grew up watching my mother's reactions to the drug. It was very graphic, but that's what us young kids need to see so that maybe it will teach us that its not good for our bodies. When the movie gets released, I would like to get a copy to show some of my friends what it can do to you. A lot of my friends are smoking marijuana and pretty soon it will not be enough to get them high so they have to move to something stronger. Hopefully I can inspire them to quit drugs altogether. I thought this film was excellent, it is very graphic in nature, but that's what everyone needs to see is the seriousness of this drug "crystal meth". It shows how it will destroy the user's body, mind, and soul along with everyone that is close to them. This tape is something that all rehab centers, schools, churches, etc., really need. Before viewing your film, I had no idea just how powerful Methamphetamine addiction really is. It was very informative, and kind of shocking in two ways: the first was people who practice using meth haven't a clue what they do to themselves, and secondly, how any given circumstance can send them into fits of rage and lose total control of themselves. My last observation was that the continual use of Methamphetamine is acutally slow death. Thank you for all of your hard work.
